Hingham Youth Cross Country 25
In the Spring of 2021, we launched the Hingham Youth Track program before deciding to offer Cross Country in the Fall as well. Since its inception, over 500 6th – 8th grade athletes have participated in at least one season of this program. Our mission is to enrich the Hingham Middle School athletic community and grow this running program. Our goal is to support athletic and academic excellence, promote sportsmanship, personal growth, school spirit and team unity.

Frequently Asked Questions
Location, Dates and Time Change: We are growing the program! Location - this is easier on parents, minimizing drive time, and we hope to increase participation. Dates & Time - more options, without additional cost to families, to participate 1-3 days a week and schedule around education, extracurricular and other activity commitments.
Practice Commitment: Practices are optional because we recognize that our middle school students need to prioritize academics, while also juggling other commitments. We do hope that kids will take advantage of the additional opportunities to run!
Meets: We are adding competition for those who are interested.
Running Experience: None required! Just a good attitude.
Water & Food: Yes, to water and electrolytes but we ask that students hold off on snacking toward end of day (coaches will discuss) to minimize cramping and sluggishness.
Attire: Hingham Youth Track shirt, if willing and able, and appropriate running attire, including good shoes. Please reach out to us for support or with questions.
What to Expect: We will make this fun by mixing up the activities, playing music when appropriate and cross training the kids to prepare them for 1–2-mile runs.
Technology: No phones at practice, must remain in bags, and we have a no tolerance policy. Students may discuss with coaches in the event of an emergency.
Scholarships: Please reach out to us, we are an all-inclusive program.
